A new band: 10,000 Turtles
Exciting news: I’m announcing my new band 10,000 Turtles.

Joost Buis is an improvising musician, composer, arranger and band leader playing trombone and lap steel guitar. He has been part of the Amsterdam improvising music scene since 1984.
From 1983 to 1988 he studied Trombone and Theory of Music at the Arnhem Conservatory, and in 2000 he took lessons from master trombonist Roswell Rudd.
He has led several groups of his own, among them Buisband, Astronotes and Buisonic. Astronotes released two cd's which can be found on the Media page.
His most recent project is a septet called 10,000 Turtles.
